ShopforTheArts uses the classifications and ratings of charities that are published on the internet by Charity Navigator.  You can read more about the methodologies employed by Charity Navigator on their web site. Charity Navigator is independent of ShopforTheArts.  ShopforTheArts pays _% of all charitable rebates to Charity Navigator to support their work.

WHAT IS SHOPFORTHEARTS?

ShopforTheArts is populated by a portfolio of charities serving the arts that are rated 4 Star by Charity Navigator.  This results in a universe of over 75 charities and represents all the best rated charities within the Arts category.  Rebates are distributed quarterly to each charity based on the amount of money they dedicate to executing their programs, and not to administrative or operational expenses.

HOW DOES THIS MAKE ARTS CHARITIES GET BETTER?

Since a 4 Star rating is required to be included in ShopforTheArts, there are real financial incentives for charities to qualify.  Additionally charities can receive a greater percentage of the total available revenues by increasing the amounts they spend on their programs.  This channels more money away from administrative and operating expenses within each charity.

WHY DO MERCHANTS GIVE REBATES?

Merchants agree to rebate to ShopforTheArts to help the arts, and to attract traffic to their e-commerce websites. It gives them a competitive advantage over merchants who do not.

HOW DO SHOPPERS BENEFIT?

ShopfortheArts is the largest shopping mall on the internet.  Shoppers can access over 1,000 quality brand merchants from just one location. Prices are at least as low as if the shopper went to the merchant directly.  However, shoppers will find that many merchants offer certain specials only to people supporting a ShopforTheArts.  Coupons and special offers are honored.  Shoppers can download a shortcut to their desktops from ShopforTheArts that will return them to that mall with just one click.  Additionally, ShopforTheArts conducts a drawing each quarter from amongst the shoppers who enter and choose to leave their contact information.

IS THERE ANY HARM THAT CAN COME TO MY COMPUTER?
